Charlie “ GRINGO STAR” Wright
Started playing drums and percussion way back in the 70's. Took lessons in the beginning from Kirk Hoffman, one of San Diego's premier Jazz drummers.
Have played in every kind of band from Blues to Country, Hard Rock & Classic Rock and Latin Jazz. At one time a member of San Diego's own legendary rock band “The Cascades”. Currently a member of the Orchestra at St. Rose of Lima Church, and the Southwestern College Latin Jazz Ensemble.
Have played every kind of venue imaginable, From private parties to jam sessions to small and major clubs around the county. One of my fondest memories was playing the San Diego County Fair, with Canadian recording artist, Jimmy Arthur.
